Note : As most of you may have noticed, my updates are rather few this time around, and it is usually around the topic of little Dot. Please excuse me for the lack of variety as I haven’t really been feeling on the up and up. Morning sickness has really been getting to me. I’ll be back on the Doodle-happy-bubble track as soon I feel much better. Hugs all around.
So I’m almost crossing over into week 12 with Dot, can’t wait π Lot’s of people told me the morning sickness would ease up soon (but there were also many that said theirs continued well into their 5th month and some throughout 9 months). Well, it sure didn’t seem like it this week. I’ve been far more nauseated and puked wind and water like nobody’s business.
At one point, the husband even made me call up my gyne to ask her if there’s anything we could do to make me feel better. Of course my doctor gave a little laugh and said “biasa lah tu…” but she did give a suggestion on trying a natural remedy of 2 table spoons of honey mixed in warm water. Tried that yesterday and Alhamdulillah, it actually did make me feel less nauseated (plus helps get rid of the uncomfortable bloatiness).
Oh, another new morning sickness addition, I now get this burning feeling in my throat after I’ve eaten something. So let’s see, we’ve got migraines, nausea, headaches, lack of appetite, bloatiness, metallic taste after sweet consumption, burning feeling in throat after any consumption, pee-a-lot, sleepless nights, occasional leg cramps, hmm.. did I miss anything out? Pfft.
The husband and I took the day off yesterday, and it was nice to spend a whole day together just doing our own thing. We made new glasses (yer, kami couple rabun, although his is at the absolute minimal while I’m as blind as a bat), he cleaned out his hammies’ cage while I watched the first episode of Merlin (best gila!! Arthur macho, Merlin cute!), we bought myself a pair of maternity working pants (sebab husband saya horror dengar bini dia jalan sana sini tak zip seluar) and I was even well enough to attend his cousin’s wedding (albeit the minor headaches and nauseated feelings). While there were still points in time when I felt the need to hurl, it was nothing compared to the bliss I felt spending the entire day with my other half π
It’s back to work today. I’ve been feeling nauseous since 8am. Had a gag attack while queueing up at the cafeteria for food, and another gag attack as I was sitting down doing work and I just rushed to the toilet while writing this as I felt another need to hurl.
I hope I survive till end of today. There’s just so much to do… and all I feel that I can do is just rest my head down on this keyboard…

Hmm.. weird though! “I now get this burning feeling in my throat after I've eaten something.” –> babe, lately i've been feeling this.. dunno y! i keep have this burning feeling at my throat and nobody seems to understand why and camne jadik camtu.. tp tak selesa kan?? i'm 21 Weeks+ now tp now baru ada rasa camni.. aiyayaiii..>>anyhow, u'll be okay soon.. just hang in there ok dear! take care.. π
Hi π Been reading your blog awhile via Kechik’s links on the side. Congratulations on your pregnancy. By the way, I’ve never been pregnant but I get terrible menstrual cramps and nausea almost every month. One thing that really helps settle the tummy and ease the nausea is chamomile tea. I’m not 100% sure if you can drink it while you are pregnant, but I drink it for my nausea or just bloatiness. It does help. Maybe you should check it out π Good luck and hope you feel better!

I have 2 elasticised working pants – XXL – and yet I still feel they are very tight. Urgh.>>Enjoy the remains of the 1st trimester..you’ll be perked up real soon!
