Terrible terrible habit.
A few days ago, I stared at the clutter on my dressing table and decided that I’ve got to do something about it. Cosmetics lay piled in a basket, bottles of creams and oils have a thick layer of dust on their covers and there’s just so much junk that I can barely even see the table top.
So, I set out to clear out all my expired make-up. Believe it or not, I even still had lipstick that I bought in year 2002. That’s almost 10 years ago! Then I found eye shadow that had grown some mold. Disgusting. By the end of the day, I had a huge plastic bag of expired stuff which if I had put on my face; I’d probably end up in break outs or allergic reactions. Ugh.
As I was clearing up my make up stash, I kept glancing into the mirror in front of me. Man, the sleepless nights have really taken its toll on my skin. My face looks dull and tired and I’m starting to have fine lines around my eyes. *cry* I’m getting ooooooooolllddd!! (sedor ler diri tu dah tue)
At that point, I made a new resolution. I will stick to a proper beauty regime. Cleanse, tone, moisturize every day and exfoliate every Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dab on my eye creams and not sleep with make-up on.
Now that my dressing table is clutter free, I’m happily glamming myself up again (much to the husband’s joy). Looking a bit bare though since most of the expired cosmetics have been trashed. Guess it’s time to restock my make-up. *grin*
