A honeymoon in heaven

I never came around to writing about my honeymoon. Err.. I’ll leave the intimate details aside but tell you about the place that I went to instead, hehehe…

I actually had no idea where I would be going for my honeymoon until the day I reached the airport. The husband was up to his head in trying to keep it a secret from me. *so sweet* Needless to say, he definitely did manage to surprise me. I had no idea where we were going, even after we reached Sabah!!

Ok, i KNEW we were in Sabah (not a blondie, heelloooo) but I had no idea where in Sabah we’d end up in. When we reached the Kota Kinabalu airport, a Toyota was there to pick us up, yet I was still in the blur. I read the writing on the side of the car’s door, which said.. Nexus Karambunai…
And I was like.. Karam WHAT?

Hhahahhahahaa… after about half an hour ride, we finally reached the hotel… so then only I knew.. ooohhhh…Nexus Karambunai… hahahahahhaha. I had never heard of the place before so obviously I didn’t know what to expect.

Believe me, I was swept off my feet. The place was FANTASTIC! The beach? AWESOME. The clarity of the sea? You’d be neck deep in water and you can still see your toes! The service was totally above my expectations. Everywhere we went, the staff and managers came by to say congratulations.. hik hik.. It was simply the best ever. Thanks love, you’re the sweetest husband in the whole wide world!

OOHH!!! Before I forget!! I must tell you that we went SEA WALKING!!! Haaahahahahahah!!! Have you heard of that before?? Sea walking?! Memang best I tell you!! You’d feel like you’re a superhero cross between the adventures of Sheikh Muszaphar and 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea! LOL!! Sumpah best gila bobby!

First they take you to this platform right in the middle of the sea, then you go down the steps by the side of the platform into the water. When you’re about neck deep, they’ll put the headgear on you (which looks like an upside down fish bowl) that’s connected to a hose. The hose is what helps supply oxygen into your “fish bowl” hehehhe.. but mind you, it’s not just your regular fish bowl, it’s 25 kilos ok!! Add another 10 kilos and it’s as heavy as me!

Then you continue down the steps and voila! You can now go sea walking!!! It’s a “guided” sea walking experience so you will be asked to hold on to a rope as a guide of where you go, also to keep you stable as you’d be all floaty floaty in the water (just like an astronaut, ahhahah).

It was a bit pricey but the experience was totally well worth it..

Neway, Karambunai Sabah was the best ever.. definitely something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.. for all the right reasons..HEHEHEHEHEH…
