This… is…

SPARTAAAAAA!!! *screams in all macho glory with spittle flying everywhere*

Ok, ok now let’s try that line again but this time…

THIS. IS. DOODLE!!!! *skips about and throws confetti all around*

Hahhahahah, ok not much of the spittle effect (thank God) but maaannnn it feels good to be back!

HelloooOOOooOoo!! Boy do I have a kabillion stories to share with all of you. Where do i start, wheeere do i start…

OK, from the top!

I’ve resigned from my full-time-oh-so-comfortable-been-there-for-almost-a-decade job.
Yes, I did it. I’ve been wanting to do it for quite a while. Unfortunately, back then, I didn’t have the guts to take the plunge. I kept mulling over the idea, throwing what-ifs and what-nots… and then, a friend resigned from her job. We share a similar passion, all things kids and parties. She took the brave step, and seeing that, I felt inspired (and in awe mostly). I mean, berani weiii!! So i thought to myself…why not, right? Rezeki itu, Allah yang tentukan.

I came home from work tired, weary and out of sorts one day, and asked my other half… can aa? should i? what do you think? can i?
He said YES!
Needless to say I submitted my resignation letter the next morning *grin*

And you know what? It’s one of the best decisions of my life, ever!

So now here I am. A full-time WAHM. It’s my dream come true!! It’s what I’ve always ALWAYS wanted.

Party Fluff is now not just a passionate hobby, it also pays the bills hahaaha! Hence you can imagine I’m working on party stuff with more heart and soul. Ooh, and I also have my very own working studio now! I’ll share more on my little studio in another post 🙂

Meanwhile, do check out Party Fluff’s official website (buat sendiri k, so please do let me know if you spot any errors). We have party packages available, a gallery of previous parties and more!

Apart from Party Fluff, I’ve also ventured into a new career adventure (because life gets dull without new challenges, hahahaha)! I’m now proudly a COWAY Health Planner!! Yeaaappp, you read that right! Apart from doing parties, I do water and air purifiers 😀 😀 😀

I know i know, it’s like two completely different ends of job categories but you know what it has in common? I get to meet people 🙂 Yup. I get to meet old friends and make lots and lots of new friends! As cliché as it may sound, I actually really do enjoy meeting new people. Perhaps one day, I’d get a chance to meet you too 😀

Oh, in case you’re wondering what in the world is COWAY, you can check out my official COWAY site. Will write more on my COWAY adventures later on!

Chempedak and Pomelo are no longer babies *cries*

I just can’t get over the fact that Chemps will be going to Standard One next year. She has to go to big kid school. Where life starts to get unfair. Sigh. Camana dia nak gi beli food kat canteen? Can she even reach the counter? Nanti orang tolak-tolak, dia tak dapat beli food pastu dah habis time rehat! *mommy nanges berjurai*

Pomelo is now a cheeky little 2-year-old who just loooooves football and is fond of playing tricks on people. Yes, he does that. Among his favourite antiques is he’d pretend he hurt his foot, going OUCH OUCH OUCH and even walks with a limp towards you. The moment you come over expressing concern, he giggles and runs away like nothing happened. SABAR JE LAH.

The husband has just finished his final exam and is now in the process of doing up his thesis. *smiles proudly*
PhD is no joke. I get stressed just looking at him study! Rajin gila nak ambik exam lagi semua. I’m waayyy over all that hahahhaha! Even if you offer me a scholarship to sambung study pun I’d say thanks, but no thanks! 😀

Oh! And we now have a new addition to the little family. No, no, I didn’t get pregnant and give birth while i was away from the blogging world. (If only it was that quick and easy! hahaha!)

Everyone, meet Bunny Jr.! Chempedak’s pet rabbit!

Cute kaaaaannnn!! She’s so fluffy and adorable!! (biased statement di sini)
She doesn’t like to be carried around much but loves to come over for loving rubs and would snuggle up next to you if you’re sitting on the floor.

Why is she called Bunny Jr.? Well, Chemps named her pet and according to her “Sekarang dia small lagi, so nama dia Bunny Jr. Nanti bila dah big, jadi Bunny je lah.”

Chemps just loves her to bits! So does Pomelo but unfortunately he love to SHOW his love by grabbing Bunny for major hugs and squueeeeezes. Kesian si Bunny. Hence no pics of Pomelo with Bunny, because most of the time they’re together, we’re screaming “IHSAN NO!! KESIAN BUNNY!!”

What else what else… well I guess most of my updates revolve around work and my family. To detail everything out in one post would be close to impossible, hahaha! To be honest, I’m actually a lot busier now than I was before! I send and pick up the kids from school, attend to them after school, and try to grab the free hours doing Party Fluff and COWAY work. It’s not easy, and I have to schedule my days properly to ensure that I meet my customers’ orders in time, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. As hectic as my days are, I get more time with the kids, the husband, and I’m doing what I love most 🙂

It’s nice to see you again Doodlers 🙂 I’ve missed writing in this silly ol’ thing and hearing your wonderful comments.

Till the next post!

Much love,

Another wonderful weekend

Seems like I’m on a weekly post now, and it’s all about my weekends, heheheh… Oh well, weekends are what we all look forward to anyway.

So last Saturday and Sunday was another full fledged weekend. Early Saturday morning, we were at Masjid Negara, attending a relative’s solemnization ceremony. The tok kadi arrived late, like, an hour plus late adding more jitters to the soon to be husband and wife. Kesian kesian. The rest of the guests however kept busy by chit chatting and Chemps had fun exploring the mosque with her second cousin.

The tok kadi finally arrived and Alhamdulillah, the solemnization process was over quick and smooth. After witnessing the beautiful pledge of marriage, we had a little something to eat and headed off to the next occasion, which was my office colleague’s wedding in Shah Alam. We didn’t have our GPS so had to rely on the map provided in the card. Thank God we managed to find our way.

Entertaining herself in the car

“This is me!” she said

There was quite an impressive spread and the three of us had a good time filling our tummies 😀 After which, we went to say congratulations to the bride. We hung around a bit as I actually wanted to take a picture together but she was a little bit too occupied (the bride was EVERYWHERE! hahahaha) so we had to leave as there was another function to get to.

Didn’t get a pic with the bride, so I took my babies’ picture instead, heheheh

We got home with enough time to let Alisha have a nap, and us to freshen up. Then, it was off to a birthday party! Zaza and Hashley threw a lovely little bash for their princess Khaisah, and what a clever venue they chose too! It was held at the playground nearby their house, so all headaches to keep kids entertained was easily overcome.

My darling Chemps and I

With birthday girl Khaisah and her mommy and daddy 😀

After singing the birthday song, and many chitchats later, we went home all set to get ready for the next function! Craayyzeee right? Hahahahah! The moment we reached home, Alisha wanted to play with the bubbles she got in her party pack, so we let her have a few minutes of bubble-time.

Alisha busy blowing bubbles, Daddy busy tangkap nyamuk, hihihi

As we were chilling outside we bumped into Adam’s cousins next door. They just got back from their Europe trip so OF COURSE I had to go say hello! Alisha and her second cousin Kasheif ended up playing bubbles and catch. It was so cute to see them having such a great time.

Kasheif and Alisha

It was only about half an hour later that we went into the house and rushed to get ready for another wedding. So with the end of the night’s wedding, that concluded our hectic Saturday. Phew! I feel tired just thinking about it, hahaha!

Come Sunday, I was up bright and early, packing our bags for a day trip to Janda Baik! The husband had a YMP programme to attend and he wanted us to come along as there was a little river at the venue and he wanted to let Alisha have her first dip in a river 😀 So off we went!

For the first half of the day, we mingled with those at the programme. Chemps of course was lapping up the attention from everyone. I think she made more friends than I did that day. We also attended a Q&A session and a little talk by Sheikh Yahya. It was informative and light, just the way I like my religious programmes to be, hehehe… nothing too heavy. Then after the programme was over, came the part Chemps was looking forward to all day, MANDI SUNGAI!!

Initially the husband said to just let her dive in with her clothes on. Of course my proper Chempedak princess would have none of it. She insisted on putting on her swimsuit, “nak simming lah!” she said 😀

The water was cold as you would expect, but she loved every minute of the whole new experience.

So that, my dear Doodlers, was what we did last weekend 🙂

Chempedak’s Splash-tastic Weekend

Last weekend was a weekend of absolute indulgence for my Chemps. She’s been asking to go swimming for several weeks already but we seemed to always have some plans made already hence were not able to fulfill her request. Last Saturday however, we made it a point to take her swimming 🙂

So after breakfast, we packed our swim gear and headed off to The Club at Bukit Utama. Chemps was already beyond herself when we got there. She was a bouncing little bunny ready to dive into the pool with her clothes on. We diverted to the swim-shop for a couple of minutes to buy her a pair of arm floaties as we figured she’s now old enough for those. Lagi la excited makcik kenit tuh.

As I paid for the floaties, the husband went to pay for our visit and get a couple of towels. He came back looking absolutely distressed. “Guess what, they’ve revised their policy, on weekends the pool is only open to members”.

OMG. I looked at my Chempedak who was grinning at the pool clutching her brand new floaties. There is NO WAY am I going to crush her excitement. The husband was so flustered, he was in high spirits too as he’s been looking forward to spending quality time with his little girl. He’s been so busy and stressed at work that I think he needed the break as much as Chemps did.

In my head, I frantically scanned through the list of people I knew who had access to swimming pools and then I remembered my aunt who lived in a condo barely 5 minutes away from our house. So I gave her a quick call and yay we were off to another swimming pool! I was a bit nervous telling Alisha that we had to leave The Club. We told her that we needed to go home and get Daddy’s towel (which was true) and then we’ll go swimming. Thankfully, she bought our reasoning.

By the time we reached my aunt’s condo, it was already 12.45pm. Usually I’d say no to midday swim sessions as the sun would be directly above your head but thankfully it was rather cloudy so it wasn’t so hot. Besides, I couldn’t break my promise especially after taking her on a wild pool-hunt.

There was no one else swimming so my husband and Chemps had the entire swimming pool to themselves. Alisha had so much fun even though it wasn’t a pool with slides and carousels and whatevernots. She had her Daddy and the pool and that was all she needed 🙂

So that basically concluded our Saturday, after swimming we had lunch and my two swimmers pretty much passed out for the rest of the day, hahahaha!

Sunday came and it was another day Alisha looked forward to. After breakfast, we dropped by the DSH to send over some items to one of my best friends. She gave birth to a pretty little princess named Zea Alayna on the 29th of June *swoon*

Me and baby Zea Alayna

Then we drove off to Hospital Serdang to visit my Atok. Two weeks ago, he had a fall and broke the top part of his left femur, closest to the hip bone. So we try to visit him every weekend to lift his spirits a little. He loves it when Alisha drops by. Last week, she gave him a balloon and they ended up playing “swords” with it. This week she brought her Dolly along to cheer him up.

Me, Alisha and my Atok 🙂

After spending a bit of time with Atok, we were off to a birthday party! It was a triple celebration where Harith and Athirah turns five and Uzair their younger brother turns four. After attending their party previous years, I am well aware that when Munirah throws a kids party, it is best to forget about putting Alisha in dresses, hahahahah!

I swear it was the most fun Alisha’s ever had at a birthday party. There were so many things to do! They had a free flow of ice cream cones, a bouncing castle, body boppers, canvases where the kids could unleash their inner Van Gogh, a water balloon fight session, a corner where kids could make their own play-dough or mess around with home-made slime and best of all, a water slide!!

Alisha did EVERYTHING! She was even smack in the middle of the water balloon fight! She started her rounds of fun with the painting activity and ended with the water slide.

Making her own play dough 😀

Checking out the body boppers

Slip n slide!

Initially, the husband and I didn’t expect her to want to try the water slide, but when they brought it out, she tugged on her Daddy’s hand and said “Jom! Jom!”

Were we ever surprised! I think she went slipping and sliding for about ten rounds!

An interview with the slipping’ sliding’ Chemps
I gotta say kudos to Munirah and Shauqi for throwing an amazing kids’ party. It’s not easy to keep that many number of children busy and entertained but I think not one kid went home unhappy. Actually, in fact most of them didn’t want to go home, hahahhaha! Even the husband and I had an awesome time!! So much that the husband has scrapped my “Princess themed party” idea for Alisha’s birthday for something more FUN. (cheh, nak kata idea aku tak fun la tu). Hope you don’t mind us borrowing a few ideas from your party Munirah!

And that, my dear Doodlers, was what we did over the weekend 😀 Nothing beats awesome quality time with your family 🙂
