First and foremost, I would like to wish all of you selamat menyambut bulan Ramadan!! May Allah bless us with a Ramadan full of forgiveness and mercy and may our fasting and prayers and other worship this month be pleasing to Allah.

Now, how’s everyone coping with the first few days of fasting? Anyone groaning away with tummy aches and hunger pangs yet? Hehehehhe…

The first day of Ramadan marks a new chapter in my life as a new bride. Last year, I welcomed Ramadan with my mom, dad and sister (whenever she’s around back from college).

This year, Ramadan comes with new company.

This year, I celebrate Ramadan with my husband. Also, my in-laws. All with new daily routine. Can’t say that I’m adapting well to all of this. Everything’s quite different to my usual relaxed routine. I’m not complaining, it’s all well and good. I just need some getting used to this. I try my best, learn while doing, and I hope that it’s ok…

I miss my parents and my sister. A lot. I’ll miss my sister even more when she flies off to Lancaster. She’ll be furthering her studies in the United Kingdom after scoring straight As in her recent A-levels and I must say I’m extremely proud of her.

Anyway, here’s to a Ramadan of firsts… and to many more to come… with my one and only…

Have a happy and blessed Ramadan everyone!
