Let me share you my almost daily morning routine on weekdays.

1. wake up
2. shower
3. pick out what to wear
4. do my make up
5. give a few sprays of my wonderfully fragrant Dior Addict 2
6. grab my vitamins
7. head out to work

Ok, usually after I squirt on my perfume, I feel very wangi and happy and with the wind blowing in my hair (ala-ala model dalam magazine Vogue tuh) as I cross the carpark towards the office building, I tend to not think about the pile of work that’s waiting at my desk. But all my joy of being perfectly wangi and lawa is very short-lived.

You know why?

Becaaaauuuseee…from the carpark, i will go up to the lobby via a a few flight of stairs from the underground carpark. Now going up the stairs is no problem, bukannye berpeluh pun panjat tangga sikit je. What I SIMPLY CANNOT STAND is the people who hang around at the staircase area..SMOKING!!

It’s like heeelloooo…can’t you smokers go out to an open area or something?? Don’t you realize that when you smoke, the smell would stick to almost everything that passes by in front of you? Busuknye ya Allahhhh… I have to hold my breath as I climb up the steps *gaaaggg*choke*wheeze*

Another staircase area these smokers like to puff away at is the emergency stairway area. Anyone who wishes to use the restroom would have to pass by the staircase, and hence, even if you go for a quick dash to the loo, you’d come back to your desk smelling like ciggies and people look at you as if YOU went to have a cigarette break.

So there goes my Dior perfume fragrance, overpowered by the stinky smell of smoke and nicotine and tar and god know what other thousand chemicals that they inhale into their lungs. Pat my fluffy soft hair and you’d get whiffs of ciggy smell as well. Honestly, if you really HAVE to smoke before you enter the office, I highly suggest you do it in you car, WITH WINDOWS CLOSED. That way you get to keep the smoke and smell all to yourselves. It’s ok, I believe the non-smokers don’t mind you not sharing your second hand smoke.

Have you ever been in an elevator, and a group of men step in after having a smoke? INSTANT HEADACHE!!! TAHAN NAFAAAASSS!!!

I don’t know how smokers live with the fact that they go around smelling like an ashtray. Sembur la perfume cheapo yang beli kat Petaling Street or designer perfume yang beli kat Starhill tu banyak mana, lagi pening dibuatnye ade la. Their breath smells of it, their clothes smell of it, their hands smell of it..hish.

I’m so happy that the price of cigarettes have gone up! Serves you all right.

  3. It’s funny that you should say “family of smokers” as it paints a picture that every single person in that family smokes. Not all of them do, and no, I’m not fine with it. 🙂

  5. the government should increase the price to a buck a stick…barulah padan muka!it’s kinda ironic that you’ll be marrying into a family of smokers, eh?i normally distance myself from smokers, but his family & house tak berbau lah pulak. so i’m fine with that lah…and i guess you are too :pwelcome back!
